[Recording available] Using Umetrics® Suite in Six Sigma DMAIC methodology
Time: 15.00-16.00 (CET)
Sartorius Stedim Data Analytics (SSDA) invites to a webinar on the use of MODDE®, SIMCA® and SIMCA®-online in the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) steps of Six Sigma
When it comes to continuous quality improvement and removing defects from a process, Six Sigma continues to be the gold standard in manufacturing and process management. This structured, data-driven methodology for discovering problems relies on careful analysis of production and process data. One of the core pieces of a successful Six Sigma approach is conducting an effective root cause analysis based on data analytics. This sort of statistical approach to problem solving benefits from data analytics tools that make the process simpler. In fact, Six Sigma is heavily reliant on data analytics.
One of the main methods used for Six Sigma is called DMAIC, which stands for Define > Measure > Analyze > Improve > Control. DMAIC is a methodology designed to uncover deviations and solve problems. It’s characterized by a strong customer focus (a focus on delivering the features or specifications the customer wants), and uses data and statistics to draw conclusions.
The DMAIC methodology is divided into five different phases. Each one has three steps. Attend this webinar and learn how data analytics tools of the Umetrics Suite support the various DMAIC phases of Six Sigma. This webinar is presented by Henrik Widmark, who recently joined Sartorius Stedim Data Analytics from GE Healthcare. He is the Product Manager for the MODDE software, part of the Umetrics Suite of Data Analytics Tools. With a background in chemistry, chemometrics, and project management, Henrik has more than 15 years of experience with data analytics tools including using SIMCA and MODDE software. Henrik is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and has also worked as coach and mentor for other Black Belts in several certification projects focused on process quality improvement.
Topics of this webinar:
- An overview of the entire DMAIC process
- The three main steps of each of the five phases
- Umetrics Suite as DMAIC toolbox
