Report editing in Word 2019 not automatically supported (Q942)

Summary:

Editing the report in Word 2019 is not supported in in the product listed above.

Workaround:

Save the report to MHT and then open that file in Word 2019.

Advanced workaround:

If you have sufficient credentials you can add the following registry key:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.htm\OpenWithList\WinWord.exe\shell\edit\command

and set the default value to the location of Word 2019, e.g.:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\Winword.exe" /n "%1"

Status:

Fixed in SIMCA 18.
