License expired when connected to license server (Q902)
A message about expired license is displayed when connected to the license server.
When using the license server, each client computer needs to have permissions to update the license on the local computer.
The user needs full access to the local application data folder (example C:\users\<User name>\AppData\Local) and their sub folders. Read, write and modify permissions are needed.
Each time SIMCA/MODDE/Easy Analytics is started, a borrow license is automatically checked out from the license server and downloaded to the client computer. This enables the user to run the software for 60 days without contact with the server. If the user does not connect to the server within these 60 days or does not have permissions to the folder where the license file is downloaded, the license will expire and the software will stop working. The software will display a warning 30 days before the license expires, the warning will say "Your borrow license is about to expire in X days".
