The Image Analysis CODEC compresses images using wavelets and is a stand-alone program communicating with SIMCA®-P using a COM interface. CODEC is provided for free “as is” and comes with no guaranties about functionality or with any support except the help file.

You can download the image analysis CODEC for SIMCA®-P by clicking the link (also works with the demo). The .zip-file contains an .exe-file and a .pdf-document about image analysis. The CODEC is a stand-alone program communicating with SIMCA®-P using a COM interface. CODEC compresses images using wavelets. Every image is compressed into one observation. A project is created in SIMCA®-P and the data with all the compressed images as observations are imported as the primary data set. After the analysis, loadings, coefficients, etc can be exported to CODEC, transformed back and viewed as images. Images of type: mat, bmp, hdf, jpg, jpeg, pcx, png, tiff, tif, and xwd can be imported into SIMCA® Codec. To install, use the following product key: CHOE-8798-7261.
