Expiry date when connected to a license server (Q877)

Summary:

The Expiry date under File | Help is the return date for borrow. This means that this date in no way reflects the expiration date according to the agreement.

Cause:

Each time SIMCA^®/MODDE^®/Active Dashboard is started, a license is automatically borrowed. This means that each time you start the software this Expiry date is updated. The default is to borrow 60 days and this defines the expiry date that is shown under File | Help.

Status:
Fixed in SIMCA 18.

The license is automatically borrowed each time the software is started to avoid being left without a license when losing contact with the license server.
