Problem

Continuous scatter plot does not always show alarms for the data vector on the x-axis (Q804)

Symptoms:

A scatter plot for a continuous configuration in SIMCA®-online does not show the alarm symbol for the data vector displayed on the x-axis if there is an alarm for the data vector displayed on the y-axis for the same observation.

Cause:

The alarm on the data vector on the y-axis incorrectly masks the alarm on the data vector on the x-axis.

Resolution:

Fixed in SIMCA®-online 13.2 and later where the alarm symbol of the most severe alarm for that observation in both the x- and y-vectors.

Workaround:

Only the scatter plots is affected. Individual trend plots are not affected and can be used to ensure alarms are always visible in plots. Also, alarms are always visible in the overview pane in SIMCA®-online.
