Problem

Cannot configure write back for other than the first YPred vector in continuous configurations (Q754)

Symptoms:

When configuring Write Back for a YPred data vector in a continuous configuration in SIMCA®-online you may run into the following issues if you have more than one Y-variable in your model:

* regardless of which YPred variable you select, only the first variable will be added to the list of variables to write back.

* the Add-button is disabled after adding one YPred variable.

Cause:

The Write Back page in the SIMCA®-online client fails to correctly identify the variable you selected, and always thinks it’s the first available variable.

Workaround:

This bug exists in the SIMCA®-online client, but the server is able to correctly write back YPred values for all Y variables as long as it has been configured correctly.

Thus it is possible to manually edit a BCG file for a configuration with text editor such as Notepad to include all necessary YPred variables, and then import the resulting BCG file as a new configuration which will correctly write back all Ypred vectors. However since it is difficult to understand the syntax of the BCG file and to get the correct term-number in the Write Back element for the Y variables, we recommend you contact Umetrics for assistance with this. See below.

Status:

Fixed in SIMCA®-online 13.1.

More Information:

Contact SIMCA®-online support for assistance with performing the workaround outlined above.
