Onion from SIMCA^®-file created in earlier version (Q788)

Symptoms:

MODDE^® is not responding after selecting a SIMCA^® .usp-file to import. Nothing happens when clicking Switch To or Retry in the 'Server Busy'-message that states "This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose 'Switch To' to activate the busy program and correct the problem."

Cause:

When importing a SIMCA^® .usp-file to MODDE^® to create an onion design, and the current version of SIMCA^® on your computer is SIMCA^® 13 or later while the .usp-file was created in SIMCA^®-P+ 12 or earlier, a message may appear behind the application.

Resolution:

Find the SIMCA^®-message using Alt+Tab and click OK. The message states "<name>.usp was created by an older version of SIMCA^® and will be converted before it can be opened.". Click Retry on the 'Server Busy'-message.
