Problem

Low CUSUM use the inverted sign (always positive) (Q793)

Symptoms:

When using the CUSUM filter for a continuous configuration the Low CUSUM series is incorrectly displayed using positive values.

The correct way of displaying the Low CUSUM data is with a negative sign as in SIMCA® and SIMCA®-4000.

Resolution:

Fixed in SIMCA®-online 13.3.

More Information:

Low CUSUM is a limit in the CUSUM control chart which should always be negative. However, in the products listed above, the displayed Low CUSUM is displayed with inverted sign and thus always positive.
